How to Watch WPBL

If you are in the United States, the full game is not free on YouTube. YouTube is the international feed. In the U.S. you need the ESPN app / ESPN+ (paid). A few regular-season dates are also on Scripps Sports, a free streaming channel. There is no confirmed terrestrial radio package.

The league YouTube channel (@wpbl_official) posts highlights. U.S. comments asking for the full game or longer cuts are hitting the ESPN+ lock. That is working as designed, not a broken link.

United States — ESPN app / ESPN+

Shorter U.S.-only notes: How to watch on ESPN+.

The league’s July 31 watch post names ESPN Select as carrying all inaugural-season games for U.S. fans. ESPN’s own press release and watch hub still label the games ESPN+. Awful Announcing reported that ESPN Select is the successor name for ESPN+.

How we actually watch:

  1. Install or open the ESPN app (phone, tablet, computer, or living-room device).
  2. Sign in with an account that includes ESPN+ / ESPN Select. This is a paid subscription. Yahoo Sports’ how-to-watch piece listed ESPN Select around $12.99/month and a higher ESPN Unlimited tier; prices change — check ESPN’s checkout, not this page.
  3. Open the WPBL streaming hub on ESPN, or search “Women’s Pro Baseball League” in the app.

ESPN’s July 30 press release says 37 games stream on ESPN platforms (30 regular season plus postseason) and that ESPN is the exclusive U.S. home of the playoffs. ESPN.com’s explainer: “Fans can catch all the action in the ESPN App and in the WPBL streaming hub.”

Paywall: If you do not already have ESPN+ / ESPN Select (or a bundle that includes it), you will be asked to subscribe. We’re not going to pretend the games are free on ESPN.

Is it on linear TV, or only streaming?

Streaming. Awful Announcing and Yahoo Sports both reported that the ESPN/Scripps deal does not put games on traditional linear television (no ESPN, ESPN2, or ABC listing in the published rights table). The ESPN press-release schedule marks every game “ESPN+.”

Why it can sound like radio:

Scripps Sports — 11 regular-season games, free stream

Shorter Scripps-only notes: How to watch on Scripps Sports.

The official watch post lists these games on Scripps Sports Network (all 7:30 p.m. ET / 6:30 p.m. CT). ESPN’s press release marks the same 11 with a double asterisk as “also simulcast on Scripps Sports Network.”

All 11 Scripps regular-season dates are played (last: Sep. 6, SF 13, BOS 7). Playoffs are ESPN-only. Confirmed LA–SF finals: Firebells vs Queens.

Scripps Sports Network is a free, ad-supported streaming channel (FAST), not a cable number you can punch in. At launch in March 2026, Scripps said the channel would be on The Roku Channel, Samsung TV Plus, LG Channels, Amazon Prime Video / Fire TV, Google TV Freeplay, Xumo Play, TCL tv+ / TCL Channel, Plex, Local Now, Sports.TV, and Tablo. A fan viewing guide also named Tubi. Availability varies by device and region — search “Scripps Sports” in your streaming apps rather than assuming every platform carries every game.

Playoffs are ESPN-only (ESPN press release).

Outside the United States — YouTube

The official watch post: games stream on YouTube for fans outside the USA. The league’s YouTube handle is @wpbl_official. U.S. IPs should not expect that feed to replace ESPN+. Separate page: How to watch on YouTube.

In the building

If you are in Springfield, you do not need a stream. Tickets from $22 — ticket notes — and venue notes on the Springfield page.
