San Francisco Firebells vs Los Angeles Queens

The teams are the Boston Hunters, New York Heights, Los Angeles Queens (including Mo’ne Davis), and San Francisco Firebells (not Firebirds). There are no home cities this year.

The regular season runs August 1–September 6 (15 games per team). Semifinals start September 9 (best of three). The championship is a best-of-five in mid-September — playoff dates. ESPN describes it as the first professional baseball league for women in the U.S. since the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League ended in 1954 — more than 70 years.
