ESPN’s league explainer lists her as a Queens catcher. USA Baseball lists Jamie Mackay on the Women’s National Team as C/RHP, B/T R/R. Spell the surname Mackay (not MacKay); that is the official WPBL and USA Baseball spelling.

The official Aug. 7 recap (posted Aug. 8) of Los Angeles’s 12–3 win over San Francisco said Jamie Mackay, “who crouched behind the plate,” hit “two-run shots over the centerfield and left centerfield fence.” The official Aug. 8 recap (posted Aug. 9) of San Francisco’s 10–3 win said she pitched in relief and “launched her second two run homer in two days.” DiamondCentric’s weekly recap also said “Jamie Mackay homered in back-to-back games.”
On Aug. 12, the official recap of San Francisco’s 8–2 win said she “made it 2-0 with a first pitch ground rule double.” The official Aug. 5 recap of Los Angeles’s 12–4 win over Boston does not name her.
