The official player page bio: first woman to sign with the WPBL and the only woman drafted from Louisiana; Nicholls State University Hall of Famer who holds school records for RBIs, doubles, and walks; three-time Women’s Baseball World Cup competitor and 2024 silver medalist with Team USA. The official Round One draft recap called her “the league’s first-ever signed player” and listed pick 8 as Amanda Gianelloni, 2B, New Orleans, Louisiana. Wikipedia’s player article says she officially signed on November 21, 2025, and that she was raised in Napoleonville, Louisiana (the official roster hometown is New Orleans). WDSU (April 8, 2026) reported the eighth-overall pick, that she was the only player from Louisiana in the draft, and the Nicholls Hall of Fame note.

The official Opening Weekend Game 2 preview billed her as a “veteran at second” and repeated the first-to-sign and Nicholls records notes. The official Aug. 2 recap of San Francisco’s 11–3 win over Boston said Denver Bryant’s throw “rob[bed] Amanda Gianelloni of her fourth hit of the night.”
The official Aug. 7 recap (posted Aug. 8) of Los Angeles’s 12–3 win said “Amanda Gianelloni getting San Francisco’s first home run of the season,” which let the Firebells “test out their home run celebration bells.” That is the official wording; we’re not adding a separate “franchise first” label. The official Aug. 12 recap of San Francisco’s 8–2 win said Jill Albayati’s grounder scored Gianelloni, “who reached on an error.” The official player-page game log is posted on her league page; we’re not reprinting a box-score line.
