The official recap of New York’s 7–6 extra-inning win over Boston (recap posted Aug. 10; game dated Aug. 9 on the official player-page log) said pinch-hitter Lexi Hastings reached on an error in the seventh and, with two outs, “learned the hard way that trying to steal on Benites’ watch was not a good option.” FanGraphs’ Week Two recap said Denae Benites caught her in a rundown in that same seventh.
