The official Aug. 1 Opening Day recap (10–8 Los Angeles over New York) said Sarah Edwards “gifted Rakyung Kim her first ‘K,’” and that Los Angeles “got a pair back off Kim in the top of the fourth” on Amira Hondras’s double.

The official recap of Boston’s 9–6 win over New York (recap posted Aug. 9; game dated Aug. 8 on the official player-page log) said that after “Raykung Kim had a tough time finding the plate,” Boston loaded the bases and Denver Bryant hit a bases-clearing double, then Keira Izumi “took the reins from Kim.” FanGraphs’ Week Two recap said she pitched 5⅓ innings that Saturday and finished with six runs allowed (four earned) on three hits, a walk, and two strikeouts.
