Notable 2026 mentions
On Aug. 1, in the league opener, the official recap said she “launched a two-run single for the first hit resulting in the first run.” The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Mo’ne Davis scored the first run in WPBL history on a two-run single by Maggie Foxx in the top of the first. MLB.com said Davis was driven in by pitcher-outfielder Maggie Foxx and had Foxx 2-for-2 with two RBIs that night. FanGraphs’ opening-weekend recap said the same first-inning single notched “the league’s first hit and plating its first two runs.” We’re not picking a winner among those wordings — just what each source said.
The official Aug. 1 recap also placed her at the plate for the first wild pitch. FanGraphs and WMUR reported she later pitched in relief; the official player page publishes a pitching line and game log. MLB.com’s opener story is the source for the “pitcher-outfielder” label. The official Aug. 12 recap said she followed Amira Hondras’s leadoff single with a hit in the same area as Los Angeles took a 2–0 lead before San Francisco won 8–2.
We’re not making up a batting line. For current stats use the official player page or stats.womensprobaseballleague.com.
