Wikipedia gives the legal name Megan Elizabeth “Meggie” Meidlinger. We only write what the official pages already say. Live numbers live on those official links. More names: players. Same style of page for San Francisco’s No. 1 pick: Kelsie Whitmore.

The official player page has no long bio. The league’s November 2025 Round One draft recap called her one of the most respected veterans in American women’s baseball and said she brings national-team experience. MLB.com’s Aug. 12 story also called her a U.S. national teammate of Kelsie Whitmore. ESPN’s league explainer lists her as a Queens RHP. The July 7 New Era / opening-weekend preview does not name her.
We’re not making up a batting line. The official player page publishes 2026 pitching numbers and a game log; use that or stats.womensprobaseballleague.com for current numbers.
Notable 2026 mentions
On Aug. 1, the official Opening Day recap said she arrived in relief heading into the seventh with New York ahead 8–6, “to keep NY at bay,” and that she “moonlights as an architect.” Wikipedia and Sports Business Journal also call her a baseball closer and sports architect (Team USA closer, not a WPBL title). After Los Angeles took a 10–8 lead, that recap said she retired the side in order, with help from defense by Ashton Lansdell.
On Aug. 12, MLB.com still says Whitmore’s third home run in San Francisco’s 8–2 win came against Meidlinger. The official Aug. 12 recap names starter Ayami Sato and Whitmore’s three homers; it does not name Meidlinger. The official player-page game log lists an Aug. 12 appearance against San Francisco.
